why do I take photos?

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas and spent most of my early years with my face in a book, ironically I wasn’t all that social. In high school I really started to emerge from my shell and found a love for the ourdoors and started my long journey of camping to mountineering. During a trip to Big Bend National Park I was frustrated that my photos just weren’t turning out as good as photos online. I remember telling my buddies one day I was going to get a camera with LOTS of megaixels because obviously that is what makes a good camera; I had a lot to learn! Shortly after I was introduced into the world of photography and I have been hooked ever since. My first pursuit was landscape and wildlife photography but after being asked to take some pictures for some friends I realized I absolutely love taking portraits and interacting with people.  While I still throughly enjoy landscape and wildlife photography when I get to go on an adventure, I have found a lot of joy meeting and photographing people in my own backyard!

Coffee or tea?

BOTH! However, as a physician I have a very close and healthy relationship with a good cup of coffee. I prefer black for the ease and I don’t feel as bad for how much I drink!

Pencil or pen?

PEN! I studied math at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and in one of my classes a professor told me mathematicians write in pen because they never make mistakes…the truth is they just use a lot more paper!

Mac, Windows, or linux?

Yes, Linux is an operating system! While I grew up with windows and used linux for a while in college, I have to say that I am fully committed to team Apple.

Boards games or Video Games?

Board games! I am enjoy just about any board game I can get a group of people to sit down and play. Some favorites are Pandemic, The Resistance, 7 Wonders, Dominion, and Magic The Gathering (card game, close enough!)
